The AGBU Young Professionals of Greater New York (AGBU YPGNY) is happy
to announce the 2nd annual ROCKTOBERFEST!
This musical showcase of Armenian artists hit the scene for the first time on October 30, 2009 at The Canal Room in New York City. This benefit performance introduces talented young Armenian artists to the greater New York community, while raising money for charity.
This year’s event is slated to take place on one of the following dates – October 16 or October 23.

Guidelines:
• Solo acts and bands are welcome.
• Solo artists, or at least one headlining member of a musical group, must be of Armenian descent.
• All performers must be 21 years of age and older.
• Artists must present original music that falls within a contemporary genre.
• Artists must submit a demo of their music either by providing links to online platforms (e.g., YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, iTunes, etc.) or
submitting *.mp3 files via email at ypgny@agbu.org.
• Rehearsal time is not available at the venue. Artists selected to perform will be granted minimal time for set up and sound check as designated by YPGNY
prior to doors opening to the general public.
• Artists selected to perform will not be compensated. Performances are strictly voluntary.
• Artists selected to perform will not be given complimentary tickets for guests – only those performing will receive complimentary access.
• Artists selected to perform will be permitted to sell their own merchandise and keep 100% of sales.
• AGBU YPGNY owns the photographic and video recording rights during the showcase.
• Artists selected to perform allow photographic and video material obtained before and at the performance to be used for marketing purposes.
Please note, space and time is limited and not all submissions can be included in the line-up.
Selection is at the full discretion of YPGNY.
